How Biosolutions can strengthen Europe’s sustainability, resilience and competitiveness

A bio revolution is under way. It has great potential to deliver on the green agenda worldwide, but EU regulations are slowing down the development of biosolutions and weaken the competitiveness of Europe and European biosolutions companies. Industry organisations from European countries want to change this – and today The European Biosolutions Coalition is having the first “European High-Level Summit on Biosolutions” in Brussels, gathering stakeholders from EU institutions, member states and industry to discuss how to move forward fast for Europe not to fall behind.

Assobiotec signs an agreement with the European Biosolutions Coalition

Assobiotec has signed, in the framework of the Ecomondo fair, an agreement with the European Biosolutions Coalition: An international reality born last 26 October in Brussels, with the aim of identifying and overcoming the European regulatory obstancles that slow down the spread of Biotechnological solutions in the agricultural and industrial fields.

EU regulations is slowing down the development of bio solutions and weakens the competitiveness at EU bio companies. Industry organisations from European countries want to change this – and today The European Biosolutions Coalition held its first meeting in Brussels.

Letter of intent

In September 2023, in her State of The Union and the following Letter of Intent to the European Parliament, the European Commission President, Mrs Ursula von der Leyen made biotech and biomanufacturing a key priority for 2024. This is a key assignment for the European Biosolutions Coalition to follow-up.
